私の母が日本に来ました！

私の母が家に来て夏休み期間を一緒に過ごしました。せっかくなので、母に日本に関する質問をいくつかしてみました。

1. How long does it take to get from New Zealand to Japan?
ニュージーランドから日本まで来るのにどのくらいの時間がかかりますか？
It takes 11 hours from Auckland to Narita and another 5 hours to Matsumoto.
オークランドから11時間、(成田空港から)松本まで来るのにはさらに5時間かかります。

2. What is your favourite place in Matsumoto?
松本で好きな場所はどこですか？
My favourite place would be your place of course, and the Matsumoto Art Museum.
もちろんリトルレッドイングリッシュスクール、そして松本市美術館です。

3. What is your favourite Japanese food?
好きな日本食は何ですか？
My favourite Japanese foods are Yakitori and Tempura.
焼き鳥とてんぷらです。

4．What are some things about Japan that you noticed that are different to New Zealand?
日本について、ニュージーランドと違うなあと思ったことはありますか？
Houses (more garden area in NZ), festivals (hardly any in NZ), and removal of shoes　and putting on face covers when trying on clothes. There are a lot more, but I don’t have the time to list them.
家屋（ニュージーランドの家はもっと庭が広い）、お祭り（ニュージーランドにはほとんどない）、靴を脱ぐこと、服を試着するときにフェイスカバーを付けることなどたくさんたくさんあります。

5. Can you speak Japanese?
日本語は話せますか？
No, I can only speak about 5 words.
いいえ、５つの単語しか言えません。

 

母は松本に来てデパートの洋服店で買い物をする際に、試着用のフェイスカバーの使い道が分からず困ったそうです。また、お風呂の鏡の位置が低いなど、家の造りに関してもいろいろ発見があったようです。
文化の違いは面白いですね：）
